Can I appeal beyond the Board of Review?

Yes. After the Board of Review's final decision you may appeal to the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board (PTAB), a state agency—but only if you first filed with the Board of Review. The PTAB deadline is 30 days after the Board of Review's final decision. Strong evidence (comps, appraisals, commercial income data) is important. A Circuit Court tax objection (after paying the bill) is another option.

Are You Overpaying?

Most Cook County homeowners are over-assessed. Check your potential savings in under a minute.
